My son loves that he can build a whole set by himself.There are so many story lines for my son to explore here. For real — he can sit down with a big box of unassembled bricks, pull out the book himself, and work all the way through it. The finished result is impressive, and it’s a huge confidence-booster for him. At first, we helped him stay on task step by step, but he quickly learned how to build it all independently. Our entire family is loving this new activity. Can’t recommend this product highly enough.

He was ok with it, but not as excited as we had hoped. He was able to build on his own just from looking at the pictures, and did a really good job, but he lost interest quickly. However, 6 months later, he has really started going at it. He’s built that castle 3 times completely by himself. Then he talked his older sister into playing “castle construction” with him. They were at it for over 2 hours, piles of bricks all over the floor. That was a little disappointing, my boy wanted to make them all at once and was resistant to dismantling one item to build the other two. The bonus fun came in the form of directions included for switching things around to make alternate vehicles, weapons, etc. The plastic container easily holds all, plus the building instructions. Pieces are segmented into different bags for easier first time assembly. It comes with extra pieces and instructions to build alternate versions of things which is nice.
